Does anyone have access to the summaries and work from Students reaching Students at SGC 2006?

Would create a good starting point if we could all take a look over what has been done in the past at the SGC in this area.

InspireSpace

At SGC 2005 in Fukuoka, I was in the InspireSpace group which SRS seems to be a spin-off of. You guys can look at the old papers & forums, but basically InspireSpace was a grassroots global campaign that my group evolved into DoSPACE which consisted of the local chapters of InspireSpace. The goal of the group was to give presentations to the general public to raise awareness about space, but primarily focused towards children. My group was from all over, (Florida, Canada, Texas, California, Massachusetts, UK) so we were able to cover alot of ground after the conference.

On my end with DoSPACE, I go to highschools and do one shot PowerPoint presentations that get the kids pumped (that's the idea anyway). I teach a Space Studies class at a nearby private school, do afterschool clubs dealing with engineering and space activities at a nearby NASA Explorer School, and recently borrowed an astronaut suit from the David Clark Company here in Worcester. With the visor down walking into an elementary school classroom, you'd have thought the kids just saw the President, haha.

Anyway, I feel like we need to set some sort of standard for the competition because that hasn't really been addressed yet. As I mentioned there are alot of things that could potentially constitute an outreach campaign. Should we be looking to narrow down how we would award the prize or is it too early in the game for that?

Roger Bolivia

I am NpoC for Bolivia, one of the intentions by which I write in this forum, it is because it interests to participate to me in the congress.

At the moment in Bolivia, I have a group of investigation in the aerospace field formed by young students.

The idea of this group is to form a space center in Bolivia, to make investigations in the fields of space and aerospace sciences.

Thanks to the cooperation between countries brothers in Latin America, a year ago could be sent to a Bolivian student to participate in a denominated event “Camping of the Americas” made in Chile. With this enthusiasm to this young student and now he has a great motivation by space sciences much.

That is space something that I can say about my country with respect to the development and eduacion.
