SGC video podcasts

This is a great idea, madman and Marci!

So, what we need to do is have someone volunteer who either knows how to do this, or wants to research it for the next few weeks so we can know how to go about it.

It'll be another excellent thing for the PR Team to do at SGC, then maybe we can even get it up on iTunes as a video podcast, serialized over several weeks or once a month?

Anyone know how to do this, or want to take it on?

We usually record the

We usually record the speakers (not much point in recording work groups, but it would be good to get the groups to keep minutes) and stream video of the speakers. We will have limited live streaming, but have more videos for download a week or two after the conference.

What would be great to do is have the speakers record a 5 or 6 minute summary of their presentation that we could use as a pod cast and post online the same day.

podcast, YouTube,

(most of) Last years SGC speakers have been recorded and on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=space+generation&search=Sear...

We had a direct, live feed supported by the International Space University,
but also recorded the stream on a local laptop. Afterwards the streams were
chopped up and header information was added. Those were posted to YouTube.

Yes, I did (all) that, with support from Ken Dyson.

Why stop there?

We could have podcasts that come from each group. Why they decided to join SGC and what they hope to accomplish, etc.

first ever Space Generation Congress on YouTube

Space Generation Summit, 2002 in Houston
Back then we called SGC SGS. Funny isn't it?

Shane Kemper, Marcus Dejmek and Phil Cojanis
did a great job capturing the very first of
what since then has become an annual space
youth gathering.

And listen to what Mac Evans, then acting
Director of the Canadian Space Agency has
to say!!! (3.5 minutes into the video)

Enjoy!
