Space travel and exploration

I feel there has to be a way to imitate conditions that promote life here on earth in other planets @ least in mars, earth's twin. The major problems are radiation and cold; Radiation can be tackled by facilities that can ward off radiation like suits probably equipped with an internal heating system to prevent freezing. This can enable manned visits to other planets and hence a step towards optimal utilization of the various resources offered by the expanse of space.
