SGAC comic (artist acquired, need ideas!)

We have a comic artist/writer that's willing to do some work for us... a couple strips to put in newsletters or maybe a very short story.

What do we want him to do?

I want to eventually do a history of SGAC and its founding, but we need a lot more resources to make that one happen, so let's concentrate on things we can do on the short-short story / strip level.

Story ideas?

Keep in mind...

*** We don't just want to do some sci-fi thing; we want it relevant to SGAC and our mission.

*** We'll want to convey some specific idea of space exploration and youth, and use the story to do it.

*** It does need to be on a small scale (feasible for an artist giving us some spare moments... not an epic).
Go at it! What do you think??

comic ideas

Hi!
Curious if this will be one picture (political cartoon style), or more three panels, a la Sunday comics.
Funny or serious/ beautiful? If funny, don't want to be too sarcastic/ negative, but still entertaining.
I'd love to have something comical about using online collaborative technologies to assist Space Generation activities... perhaps because this affects me on a daily basis :D, but also because we are moving forward (space!) but sometimes it is easy to want to stay behind with technologies.

more on the comic

The comic can be anything we want, just not too long.

some ideas on the content:

How about a story that shows us (the Space Generation) working together with space agencies to succesfully tackle a global problem, that can be solved with the help of space technologies and a globally acting youth network?

- Imagine we could help issue a policy that would require the space agencies to go carbon-neutral, having them as role models for their governments and other states, in addition to higher global awareness of the climate change problem.

- Or how about putting the 10 points of our "50 years vision" into comic form?

- maybe a Yuri's Night comic - spanning from Yuri's flight (he was 27) to worldwide parties celebrating space.

all of your ideas are great,

all of your ideas are great, but we might want our first comic to start out with something that is representative of SGAC and how it all started before moving on.

It could start with the SGAC being created, who we are, who we represent and where we are headed into the future....
.... then move forward to these ideas you have mentioned.

Hi, Randall, I really like

Hi, Randall,

I really like the idea of doing an "origins" comic, but I want a comprehensive several issues book on it, based on oral interviews with several of the founders and that's not the scope that Alex's writer/artist friend wants to do right now, so maybe if we have a more fictional futuristic type idea, it would work better for a short one-shot...

(Sorry I haven't replied to your email yet; yes, this is my team :-))

Here is some of the work of the artist, so you can take a look and have an idea what we are talking about. Keep in mind, ours will be somewhat shorter.
