Bio

Andres Mora was born in San Jose, Costa Rica on the 29th of March 1980. He received his B.S. in Electronics Engineer from the Universidad Interamericana de Costa Rica. Upon graduation he participated in an international internship at the Advanced Space Propulsion Lab, at Johnson Space Center, NASA, where he worked on the control of the Langmuir probes that take measurements on the density, temperature and force of the plasma flow inside the experimental VASIMR (Variable Specific Impulse-Magneto Plasma Rocket). Later on he moved to Japan, where after two years he obtained his M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering (Space Robotics). He participated in the International Space University's Summer Session Program 2007 in Beijing, China. He is currently a Ph.D candidate at the Space Robotics Laboratory, Tohoku University, Japan.
